Tasmania’s Department for Education, Children and Young People (DECYP) is offering another round of scholarships for psychology and speech pathology students.
Successful applicants will receive $25,000 towards their university course costs.
“The scholarships will help students to finish their studies and start their careers with us,” the Department said in a statement announcing the new scholarship round.
“At DECYP, our school psychologists and speech and language pathologists play a key role in supporting the development and educational outcomes of children and young people. They are an integral part of creating bright lives and positive futures.”
Th opportunity is available to speech pathology students who are in their final year of an accredited program at an Australian university and expected to complete their course in 2025. Psychology students must be in their fifth year of a 5+1 internship or their second year of a Masters pathway to registration program and expected to complete their course in 2025.
“DECYP are committed to supporting the education, training and careers of psychologists, speech pathologists and other allied health professionals in Tasmania. On completion of their studies, successful applicants will receive expert guidance and mentoring to help them on their career journey.”
