NSW Police has declared a critical incident investigation is underway after a woman was seriously injured after falling from a window of a home in Sydney’s south west.
In a statement, NSW Police said that at around 10.30am on Saturday 11 October, officers attended a unit on Guildford Road, Guildford following reports of a concern for welfare.
“Officers attached to Cumberland Police Area Command entered the unit before a woman was seen to fall from a window,” NSW Police said.
“The 26-year-old woman was treated at the scene by police before the arrival of NSW Ambulance paramedics.”
She was taken to hospital with serious injuries where she remains in a stable condition.
Police established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The investigation will be subject of an independent review by the Professional Standards Command and oversight by the Law Enforcement Conduct Commission.
