The City of Subiaco will next week host its second annual Student Leadership Connect conference.
The conference aims to foster and create a valuable network amongst high school leaders from the schools within the City of Subiaco: Bob Hawke College, Shenton College, and Perth Modern School.
During the day, students will take part in interactive workshops delivered by IZRA and the Happiness Co, and will participate in a Q&A session with Mayor David McMullen.
The workshops are themed around resilience, conflict resolution, and how student leaders can feel more connected to the community and the wider City of Subiaco.

“The City is committed to our young people, and emerging leaders within our community,” said Mayor, David McMullen.
“Student Leadership Connect offers student leaders a unique opportunity to practice their leadership skills, learn how to build resilience, and become familiar with civic responsibility. It was brand new last year, and in 2025 we are packing some additional things into the program – such as the Q&A. I’m looking forward to seeing what questions the students come up with for me,” he said.
The conference will be held on Monday 28 July.
