QPS Constable, 44, charged with mid-range drink driving

A 44-year-old male Constable from the Central Region has been served with a notice to appear in relation to an alleged mid-range drink driving offence.

It will be alleged that the offence was detected while the officer was driving a private motor vehicle while off duty on New Year’s Day.

“The member has been charged with one count of driving while over the mid alcohol limit but below the high alcohol limit,” Queensland Police said in a statement.

“He has been stood down from the Queensland Police Service and is expected to appear in the Gladstone Magistrates Court on January 13, 2025.”
