The NSW Government has appointed two new members to the Destination NSW Board, with former member for Barton, Linda Burney and Tom Malone to join the board from today (1 June) for a three-year term.

Anna Guillan, an experienced non-executive Director and Chair, and tourism business leader also returns to the Board for another three-year term.

“I am pleased to appoint Ms Burney and Mr Malone to the Destination NSW Board and look forward to working with them to strengthen the state’s visitor economy,” said Minister for Jobs and tourism, Steve Kamper.

“These new Board appointees bring decades of leadership across government, Aboriginal culture and education, media and major events. Their experience and insight will be invaluable as we continue to grow a vibrant, sustainable and globally competitive visitor economy for NSW.”

Destination NSW Chairperson, Sally Loane said she was pleased to welcome Ms Burney and Mr Malone to the Board.

“Both bring experience and expertise that will be invaluable as we work to deliver the NSW Government’s goal of $91 billion in annual visitor economy expenditure by 2035,” she said.

“The Board looks forward to working with Linda and Tom as we continue to drive visitor economy growth and position NSW as a globally competitive, year-round destination.”

Minister Kamper also acknowledged the work of outgoing Destination NSW Board members, Clark Webb, Jodi McKay and Anne Loveridge.

“The NSW Government and visitor economy stakeholders across the state are fortunate to have benefited from their expertise and dedication,” he said.
