Victorian Minister for Ambulance Services, Gabrielle Williams, today announced the start of construction on the Morwell Ambulance superstation and new Foster Ambulance Station – and says a site has also been secured for a new multi-million-dollar Paynesville Ambulance Station.
“We’re delivering six bigger and better ambulance stations in Gippsland because we know locals rely on the expertise, compassion and commitment of our paramedics,” said Minister Williams.
“We also know that paramedics need modern workplaces, and the latest equipment to stay safe at work and deliver the best care.”

The new Morwell Ambulance Station will feature a 9-bay garage for ambulances, eight rest and recline areas for paramedics to recuperate, training facilities, a fully-equipped kitchen and improved security and car parking to make sure paramedics are safe. Construction is on track to be completed in late 2023.
Construction is also underway on the new Foster Ambulance Station on Station Road. The new ambulance station will feature a 3-bay garage, two rest and recline areas, training facilities, kitchen and improved security and car parking. The facility is due to be completed in the second half of the year.
A new multi-million-dollar ambulance station will also be built on Paynesville Road, at Paynesville. The station will feature a 3-bay garage, two rest and recline areas, training facilities, kitchen and improved security and car parking.
“In more welcome news for the local community, the process to secure a parcel of land for the new Yarram Ambulance Station is progressing,” Minister Williams said.
“Paramedics are already operating from two new multi-million-dollar ambulance stations in Moe and Warragul. The new Moe Ambulance Station features a five-bay garage and four rest and recline areas, while the new Warragul West Ambulance Station has a four-bay garage and four rest and recline areas,” she said.
