The WA Government has contracted 15 new social housing dwellings in the northern Perth suburb of Warwick.
The new $7.62 million development will comprise six one-bedroom and nine two-bedroom apartments designed to provide secure and well-located homes for people in need.
“This project is another important step in our government’s commitment to increasing the supply of social housing in the northern suburbs,” said Housing and Works Minister, John Carey (pictured).
“This site was selected for its strong amenity and accessibility, with public transport, schools, shopping and open space all within easy reach.
“We’ve already added more than 3,500 social homes across WA since our record investment, with many more under contract and construction.”
The project has been designed by Proekt Architecture and will be built by Thomas Building, who were appointed through the State Government’s Housing Construction and Refurbishment Builders Panel.
Construction is scheduled to commence shortly and practical completion anticipated in the first quarter of 2027.
