The WA Government is releasing a further 14 residential lots at Waranyjarri Estate, including five lots pre-allocated for social housing, in what is the state’s only EnviroDevelopment and Waterwise-accredited regional community.
DevelopmentWA has implemented an end date sales strategy for the upcoming release to provide more opportunity for the community to submit an offer to purchase on their preferred lots. It says the new sales strategy will alleviate the need to make offers to purchase in person at the sales office, with submission forms available online, and is designed to provide a fair and balanced platform for all parties to submit offers on up to three preferred lots in the latest release of residential lots.
The land release, which includes 11 single residential and three grouped housing lots, will range in size from 700sqm to 1145sqm with prices starting from $360,000.
“Our government is committed to deliver more housing opportunities for people in Broome, as well as better transport access and improved amenities,” said Planning and Lands Minister, John Carey.
“The release of these lots, including the preallocation of five lots for social housing, demonstrates how we continue to unlock land across the State for new homes.”
Waranyjarri Estate residents will also benefit from the Broome North Childcare Centre, which has been operating successfully since opening in September last year and caters to children aged from birth to six years. The centre includes five classrooms, two outdoor playground areas and a seasonal growing garden that encourages outdoor learning and play.
“The Cook Government is investing to provide new housing and greater amenity in Broome and across the Kimberley,” said Regional Development and Kimberley Minister, Stephen Dawson.
“The release of these lots, as part of a well-connected new estate, will help ensure more people in Broome have a place to call home.”
The Government has also completed the 550-metre Tanami Drive extension in Broome North, delivering safer and more efficient access for residents, visitors and emergency services.

The upgrade includes a new roundabout at the intersection of Fairway Drive and Sanctuary Road, and forms part of a broader program of infrastructure upgrades being delivered by DevelopmentWA to support the expansion of the Broome North community.
Additionally, 15 industrial lots are currently being prepared for release at the Blue Haze Light Industrial Area as Stage 5 sales edge closer.
The light industrial lots provide a prime opportunity for commercial businesses to expand their footprint in the Kimberley and service the greater Broome area.
Sales for the Blue Haze Light Industrial Area lots will go live in the coming weeks.
“From the new childcare centre, to the Tanami Drive extension, we’re ensuring new communities are well serviced and connected,” said Minister Carey.
